Formed in 1969 with 29 acres purchased for just $7000, Castlepoint Golf Course is a great little course that welcomes people of all levels to this day. Castlepoint is a small club, close to the holiday makers Castlepoint Beach and Castlepoint Motor Camp. Many events and activities are held over the summer months to accommodate holidaymakers.
Explore Castlepoint Scenic Reserve by following the boardwalk over the reef and past the lighthouse. The views from these points give great views of the sea and of Castle Point and the Wairarapa east coast. After these lookouts you can walk down and along the cliffs that the lighthouse is on.
Follow State Highway 2 over the Rimutakas, and into Featherston.
Continue on State Hwy 2 and turn right onto Te Ore Ore Rd in Lansdowne, Masterton. Continue onto Masterton-Castlepoint Rd and follow the signs to Castlepoint.
